Bookkeeping, financial statements and tax filings are the same information at three stages. When one firm carries all three, the statements are prepared from books we already know, and the returns reconcile back to those statements — nobody re-deriving another firm’s numbers, and nothing surfacing at year-end that should have been caught in March.
We keep our client list deliberately small, so the CPA who signs your engagement letter is the one who knows your file. Most of our clients are incorporated owner-managed businesses, where the shareholder, the director and the person doing the work are the same person — which is why we plan corporate and personal tax together rather than in separate silos.
